Custom Orders
A custom slot includes 1 doll OR one Big/Little Sister set to be made to customer’s specification. If you would like to place an order, I do require a £10 deposit per doll which will hold your place in my diary. Please note that until the deposit invoice has been paid in full, other customers will take priority. Please note that deposits are non-refundable. They cover my admin time in the event of a cancellation.
I will book in your order for the month before you need it for (such as a special occasion or birthday). Or if you would like it as soon as possible, I will book you in for my next available slot. Lead times vary depending on the time of year. I recommend booking a slot in my diary sooner rather than later if you would like a doll for a special occasion as I do get booked up very quickly.
When your custom slot is secure in my diary, I will contact you via facebook messenger/email at the end of the month, for example if your custom slot is booked in for April, I will contact you at the end of March. You must select details for your doll and let me know the details within 7 days of the date of my email. Please do not send details via comments on photos or posted on my Facebook wall as it is not guaranteed that I will see it since the notifications do not always come through. If I do not hear anything from you after my first message, I will send a polite reminder. However I do not chase customers after the second message and shall assume that the slot is no longer wanted if I do not receive a reply after two weeks.
The balance for your order will be due by 1st of the month to allow me time to order in fabrics and materials. I do not stock a huge amount of fabrics so they will be ordered in especially for your doll. I do not order fabrics or start work on orders until the balance has been paid in full. The balance must be paid within 48 hours of receiving the invoice. Failure to pay the invoice on time may result in the cancellation of your order. I work orders in the order I receive payments, so please bear that in mind.
I am a wife and Mother first so this needs to be taken into consideration. Lead times may vary but is generally 5-6 weeks. Please be aware that I may work at a slower pace during school holidays. However I do try my best to deliver everything on time.
In the event of a fabric becoming unavailable after ordering, a suitable alternative will be sought. I will always contact the customer with further options in the event of this happening.
Note: all items are handmade by me. Products may differ slightly to photographs taken due to differences in screen resolution. All of my dolls are OOAK (one of a kind). They are individual and each doll has their own personality. They are all hand made with a lot of love and attention and any slight imperfections add to their unique personalities.
I have the right to change terms and conditions at any time. This includes price structure.
Ready Made Dolls
I endeavour to hold a monthly market night on my Facebook page depending on the amount of custom orders I have at the time. This is usually held on the last Friday of the month and is advertised on the events tab on my Facebook Page. If the date needs to be postponed for any reason, this will be advertised on my facebook page and on the events tab.
Specification
I make several types of dolls which have all been developed from my own patterns. I am happy to take your ideas on board for special orders, however I will have to CE test them first before that particular toy goes on sale.
All of my dolls are approximately 16" tall unless stated. They all have hand embroidered faces and are stuffed with love and hollow fibre filling which complies with BS 5852 SOURCE 2 1988 SCHEDULE 2 PART 1 (Fire & Safety). EN71-3. They are CE certified and suitable from birth.
I use 100% high quality cotton and 100% wool felt in my dolls.
My home is smoke free and although we have pets, they do go near my fabric!
How to Pay
I accept payment by PayPal. Upon ordering a custom slot, please send me your email address and I will send you an invoice. Please note, you can pay by debit/credit card via the PayPal invoice even if you don't have a PayPal account.
Unfortunately I do not accept cheques. I do not start work on orders until payment has cleared which may delay your order if payments are not made on time. I work in the order that payments are received.
UK Postage and Packing
Dolls and clothing are wrapped in tissue paper/celephane inside a pretty pink mailing envelope.
Postage prices are as follows:
1-2 dolls outfits - Royal Mail Standard delivery £3.95
1 doll and up to three outfits - Recorded delivery by Royal Mail £4.95
2+ Dolls -For maximum insurance, more than one doll will always be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery £8.95
Postage will be combined when ordering more than one item. Please contact me for international postage quotes.
Returns
We hope you will be very happy with your purchase. However if you are not completely satisfied, simply return the item to us in its original unused and re-sellable condition within 28 days of receipt. It is with regret that I cannot accept returns from a smoking home unless faulty as this would not be classed as a re-sellable condition.
We will issue a full refund on receipt, excluding the original delivery charge. Alternatively, if preferred, we will also be happy to exchange the item. No refunds or exchanges will be given on items that have clearly been used or damaged.
Refunds will not be given on personalised items unless faulty.
Amendments
Amendments will only be made in exceptional circumstances. While I do not usually do this, when an exception can be made, I charge £10 a hour to cover my time and materials. Postage costs must be paid for by the customer.
Please note:
▪ Goods will only be accepted for return if they are returned within 28 days of delivery, unless we have notified you otherwise.
▪ Please note we will refund an item if it is faulty, after a thorough check of the item. Please allow 2-3 weeks for a replacement to be processed.
▪ The item is your responsibility until it reaches us. Therefore we recommend that you send the parcel using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods you are returning.
▪ The cost of returning the item to us is your responsibility. Delivery charges are only refundable where goods are faulty and a refund is made.
